So, many of these aforementioned problems might not be as serious as Quantic enters in full production of the game. The official channels, Quantic Dream primarily, have stated that the game is in the stage of very early development when most issues are expected and addressed, and not having a playable version of the game at that point isn’t really an issue. But again, these are just rumors and should be treated as such, regardless of the source. Henderson also mentioned that a multiplayer mode or component might be in the cards for Star Wars Eclipse, but people at Quantic are still having issues with figuring out how exactly it will function. But it could indicate that things have gotten off to a rockier start than originally anticipated. This isn’t indicative of anything, especially in the long run, considering that the game probably won’t release before 2023. As we previously mentioned, Star Wars Eclipse has been in development for 18 months, but according to Henderson, Quantic Dream still doesn’t have a playable version of the game internally. The problem lies in the fact that these games differ from Star Wars Eclipse in terms of gameplay, which the engine either can’t cope with or has issues running, thus requiring modification. Quantic Dream previously worked on fantastic titles, such as Detroit: Become Human and Beyond: Two Souls and the proprietary engine the company is using has been designed to work with those titles. He pointed out that the information should be taken as a rumor but went on to disclose that the main point of developmental issues with Eclipse, at this moment, might have something to do with the game’s engine. It'll be interesting to see how this new version shapes up and how the Knights of the Old Republic remake will make use of the power of modern-day hardware.According to ComicBook, Tom Henderson, a reputable game industry insider, revealed that Quantic Dream might struggle with Star Wars Eclipse. The original game from BioWare allowed you to shape your own journey in the galaxy as one of nine different customizable characters, with plenty of choice and freedom. With only a brief teaser revealed so far, we don't yet have a release date, but the prospect of a remake is undeniably exciting.
The remake is coming from Aspyr and Lucasfilm Games, the former of which has previously worked on several remasters of previous Star Wars games, including Jedi Knight 2: Jedi Outcast. First revealed during the PlayStation 2021 Showcase, we got our very first look at a revamped Darth Raven who was a customizable protagonist in the original game. The Knights of the Old Republic remake is set to deliver a new version of the much-loved RPG from 2003 to PS5 and PC. Very little has been revealed about the project so far, so the release date is still likely to be a ways off.

The new studio is being led by veteran developer Greg Foertsch, who previously worked at Firaxis on Sid Meisner's Civilization series – among others. Respawn will be producing the project, while Bit Reactor leads its development. Revealed alongside the first-person shooter, the untitled Star Wars strategy game is currently being developed through a "production collaboration" with freshly established studio Bit Reactor. If an FPS and another step in the Star Wars Jedi series wasn't enough, Respawn kept the surprises coming with the announcement of a Star Wars strategy game. Still, given that Jedi: Survivor is current-gen, it does seem like a safe bet to assume we'll see this new experience land on the latest consoles. At the time of the announcement, work had only "just begun" on the title, so it'll likely be some time before we get a solid release date or learn more details about the game. Hirschmann is no stranger to the Star Wars franchise in the gaming space, having previous experience working on the original Star Wars Battlefront games, as well as Star Wars: The Force Unleashed. Respawn game director Peter Hirschmann is leading the development of the project, which was first revealed in January 2022. As well as continuing on the Star Wars Jedi series with Survivor, Respawn is also currently working on as yet untitled Star Wars first-person shooter.
